Begin Your Journey to Happiness

"Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, it became a butterfly!"

Meet Jocelyn Arruda, LMFT

I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Rhode Island, with 14 years of experience focused on assisting clients in realizing their full potential within the scope of their own personal goals.

I have had extensive training and personal experience in the areas of complex grief and loss, including those surrounding traumatic grief and the sensitive nature of pregnancy loss. Additionally, I am confident that we can work together on issues such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, parenting dilemmas, and substance use/abuse.

I am delighted to work with you in a warm, comfortable, peaceful setting which is naturally and by design set up to provide a safe and welcoming environment. I hope you feel relaxed and secure in my office. If the New England weather cooperates, we have a beautiful garden and beach at our disposal where we can hold sessions. This is so important, now more than ever.

I will work with you to uncover the effects of past decisions and experiences in order to help you create the best possible present and future that you can imagine for yourself.

I believe we all have the capacity not to simply set the bar at "survival", but to experience true joy and fulfillment. I hope to work alongside and encourage you in your journey to move forward, and embrace your life!

WHAT PEOPLE SAY

"Jocelyn is one of the kindest and most relatable people I have ever met, and the same is certainly true about her as a therapist. Her office is a true sanctuary where I always felt comfortable discussing the deepest trials and troubles I encountered. Specifically, my sessions with her helped me to face and resolve PTSD and eating disorder issues, build an arsenal of healthy coping skills, and realize my true self worth and value as a woman and a human being!"
